We are pleased to welcome a new member to CAIDAS. Hannes Taubenböck has been appointed to the Chair of Global Urbanization and Remote Sensing at the Institute of Geography and Geology as of 1 October 2022.

The JMU celebrated the topping out ceremony of their new institute for artificial intelligence on January 23rd. The ceremony was attended by state minister for science and Markus Blume, the president of the JMU Paul Pauli, Würzburg's mayor Christian Schuchardt, and CAIDAS spokesperson Andreas Hotho.
The construction is expected to be completed by this summer.
