Computing Resources
The Julia 2 cluster, established in 2024, consists of 46 compute nodes with a total of 4,512 CPU cores and 28,160 GB of RAM. It features 160 accelerator cards, including 122 NVIDIA L40, 24 NVIDIA L40s, and 16 NVIDIA H100. The storage system offers 135TB on NVMEs and 1.8PB on HDDs, spread across 28 storage nodes. The cluster operates with SLURM for batch processing and supports virtual machine provisioning.
DataSphere@JMUW
The data lab Datasphere@JMUW is a meeting room for researchers working on machine-learning problems in data-driven science. It is a joint is a joint project of the Chairs of Astronomy (Prof. Mannheim) und Data Science (Prof. Hotho) at the crossroads between data-driven sciences and CAIDAS. The project is funded by DATEV Foundation Future.
