We are pleased to welcome a new member to CAIDAS. Ingo Scholtes has been appointed to the Chair of Machine Learning for Complex Networks at the Institute of Computer Science as of 15 August 2021.

The University of Würzburg was again successful in the competition for an Alexander von Humboldt Professorship. The computer scientist Radu Timofte is to strengthen the university as an expert in the field of computer vision.

Where building number 50 (right) currently stands on the North Campus, a new building for CAIDAS will be constructed by the end of 2023. To the left, the mathematics buildings.

The first new building for CAIDAS in sight. The Free State of Bavaria has given the green light and is providing funding. A total of 1.900 m² on four floors will be built on the North Campus on a construction field next to the Mathematics buildings in a modularized system.

CAIDAS has two open positions for professorships and is looking forward to receive applications from experts in Computational Humanities and from experts in Reinforcement Learning and Computational Decision-Making until 10 May 2021.
