Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science are key methodologies of our century. For the first time, data is not only digitally stored, transmitted and processed by AI, but also understood and linked in terms of content, so that decisions can be drawn knowledge-based and partly or fully automated.
The Center for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science of the JMU Würzburg conducts research in in Machine Learning, Data Science, Image and Text Analysis, AI Systems, Ethics/Legal/Societal Acceptance, and Economy and Transfer within the four central application pillars: AI for Life Science, Human-Centered AI, AI in Digital Humanities, Economics/Law and AI. The methods for these applications are also researched at CAIDAS in the underlying area Foundations of AI and Data Science.
CAIDAS is heading the AI hub data science in the Bavarian AI network baiosphere.
